●One is a snow leopard or another a pack of wild dogs, both of these take wondering cubs.
●A hungry eagle may take a cub left in a tree unattended.
●The bamboo rat lives underground and eats the roots of the bamboo tree leaving the panda without food.
●The worst enemy of the giant panda is man.

●Scientists are not exactly sure
●1 theory is that pandas developed the contrasting black and white colors over time so they would stand out in the forest and be able to find each other to mate.

●Bamboo is the most important plant in a giant panda’s life.
●Pandas live in cold and rainy bamboo forests high in the mountains of western China.
●They spend about 12 hours a day eating bamboo because it is so low in nutrients.
●They eat as much as 84 pounds of bamboo each day.
●Pandas are also known to eat grasses, bulbs, fruits, some insects, and even carrion. (animal remains)
